Team FastBoats, based out of Pompano Beach, Fl was thrilled to participate in the augural Lake Race – 2013 at the Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, this past weekend!

Owner/Throttleman Randy Sweers and Driver Tony Fiorillo ran a great race Saturday and Sunday. Sweers is no stranger to the Lake of the Ozarks, as he often participates in the LOTO Shootout, and knows these waters extremely well, both in condition and handling. Randy’s sleek 40′ MTI Cat, powered by Twin Potter Performance 750s, is one of the most well recognized offshore powerboats, and truly kicked off the season with a great Saturday/Sunday podium finish, taking 2nd in Pro-Am 1 class, 3rd in PX class. Way to go, Team FastBoats!!

After a few morning showers, it turned out to be a BEAUTIFUL day for racing at the Lake of the Ozarks for the Lake Race 2013! FANTASTIC job to Team FastBoats for two podium finishes!

Fort Lauderdale St Patrick’s Day Parade

Perhaps it was the luck of the Irish, but the Fort Lauderdale St Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival in downtown Fort Lauderdale on Saturday was met with uninterrupted sunny skies, good cheer and, yes, leprechauns.

Under a beaming sun, and alongside some beautiful vintage automobiles, leprechauns, and local school marching bands, Team FastBoats and friends joined the Fort Lauderdale St Patrick’s Day Parade in a beautiful Midnight Express 34′ Open, a custom build available exclusively through FastBoats Marine Group, along with a 37 foot, 39 foot and soon to be 43 foot. We truly had a blast, and want to thank everyone who attended the event!

The line of boats from Midnight Express is the newest and latest in powerboat and fishing design perfectly attuned to the changing tastes and times of the 21st century. Every one of the 34’s is engineered for new standards in fuel efficiency, onboard comfort, and the consistent reliable performance that owners have grown to expect from Midnight Express.

Craig Barrie, who recently came on board, plans to work with principals to expand the company’s horizons. “The guys [Todd Werner and Nick Buis] at Statement have put a lot of energy, time and creativity into their product. At this point they’ve paid their dues and now they want to expand the brand via the international market into a custom, high-quality company.”

This past weekend, the FastBoats Marine Group Offshore Race Team headed down to Clearwater, FL, for the Bright House Clearwater Super Boat National Championship Race Weekend! Randy Sweers and Tony Forillo and led the #33 40′ MTI Cat to place second in the Superboat Class.

The whole team is very excited to show fans what they have in store for the World Championship race in Key West next month!
